On 26 February 2018 the University of Belgrade, Faculty of Law organized its first Jean Monnet conference „Legal implications of trade liberalization under SAAs and CEFTA“. This conference was organized as one of the project activities undertaken within the Jean Monnet Module “FTA-SEE”, awarded to the University of Belgrade, Faculty of Law in 2017. The Jean Monnet Module is co-funded by the European Union through the Erasmus+ program.
The conference was formally opened by Prof. Dr. Sima Avramović, Dean of the Faculty of Law, Prof. Dr. Dragica Vujadinović, Head of Master in European Integration, and Prof. Dr. Dušan V. Popović, Jean Monnet Module Leader.
The first session entitled “Trade in goods and services” chaired by Prof. Dr. Predrag Cvetković (University of Niš, Serbia).
The second session was dedicated to corporate and financial aspects of trade liberalization, chaired by Prof. Dr. Slobodan Marković (University of Belgrade, Serbia).
The third session entitled „IP and competition law aspects of trade liberalization“, chaired by Doc. Dr. Sanja Radovanović (University of Novi Sad, Serbia).
The final, fourth session entitled “Perspectives” was chaired by Prof. Dr. Neda Zdraveva (University of Skopje, Macedonia).
There were two side events to the conference, the first being the “Springer Book Table”, an exhibition of the latest editions in the area of business law and a sale point of the Publishing center of the University of Belgrade, Faculty of Law. The publishing house „Springer“ donated the exhibited books to the library of the Faculty of Law. On this occasion, “Springer” was represented by Ms. Anja Trautmann, Associate Editor Law.
An edited book (printed edition) will be published by the Publishing center of the University of Belgrade, Faculty of Law by the end of next month. The paper abstracts (online edition) are already available at the Jean Monnet Module’s website.
